A place people can come for extra education, direction, a new skill, practical experience or a route into work.

Not a room used for occasional courses. We're building a centre inside the Kurt Mueller Building that can stay part of High Wycombe for decades, rooted in the Karima community and open to everyone.

Who we help

Not everybody follows the same path.

Some children need more academic support. Some young people leave school without a clear next step. Some adults want to change careers but don't know where to start. We want to show people practical options and help them take the next step.

Who the centre is for
  • Children preparing for the 11+ or needing support in Maths, English and Science
  • Young people who left school or college without the grades they hoped for
  • People unsure whether university is right for them
  • Adults who are unemployed, underemployed or looking to retrain
  • Anyone who wants a practical trade and real experience

The person we help train today can help train or employ someone else tomorrow. That's the loop.

How the loop works

Pathways

Training should lead somewhere.

A course shouldn't end with a certificate and nobody to help with what comes next. Progression is built into the centre.

Into work

CVs, applications, online and face-to-face interview practice, work experience and introductions to employers.

Into self-employment

How to price your work, understand costs and profit, invoice customers and run your time properly.

Into business

Business structures, systems, marketing and admin, so building something of your own is a realistic option.

The centre

Somewhere to learn properly.

The industrial character of the Kurt Mueller Building suits hands-on training. Not every area needs to look like a classroom. Some should feel like real working environments, with installation bays, training rigs and practice areas.

One skill can open the door to another. You don't always know where the first opportunity will take you.

Karima Foundation serves High Wycombe through faith, education and community. CareerLoop brings those together in a practical way, giving Karima's families, youth workers and volunteers somewhere to send anyone who needs education, direction or a new skill.
